Large, easy to use boat launch right in the park and the bay is a great place to paddle, etc. There are nice walking trails in the park. The beaches on Perdido Key are a short drive over the bridge and Florabama/Orange Beach are a few miles away.

The Shrimp Basket and Fisherman’s Corner restaurants are both very good and close by. We also went to the beach at the national seashore which is really the other side of the lagoon facing the gulf, about a 5 minute drive. There are several groceries right outside the park.
