What is EOPS program at college?
EOPS is a state-funded, services-oriented program. It combines financial assistance with support services designed to inform, recruit, admit, and academically motivate low-income and educationally disadvantaged full-time students to pursue a college education.
What are the requirements to be admitted to EOPS program?
You may apply to EOP if you meet all six of the following requirements:
- You are a California resident or AB540 student.
- Your family has a history of low income based on the Cal State Apply Guidelines.
- You are the first in your family to attend college.
- You are a first-time freshman.
How much do you get from Eops?
Eligible students may qualify for an EOP grant of up to $800 per year. To be considered for a grant, you must apply for financial aid by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Due to insufficient funds, not all EOP students receive an EOP grant.
How long may a student be in the EOPS program?
Under Title V, EOPS Students can receive services until they reach the following: 6 semesters; or. 70 degree applicable units; or. Until you receive an Associates degree.
